Touring Toril: A Complete Odyssey of the Realms

Stu Cook
Creative Director | Cartographer | Character Artist
Stu Cook has been a Dungeon Master for over 25 years and has been consuming Forgotten Realms Content for as long as he could read. A fantical fan of the setting and its maps since childhood. After getting inspired by the maps from fan creators like Mark Taylor, Rob McCaleb, Adam Whitehead and many more, Stu set out to create his own. He completed his first map in 2018 and quickly set out upon iterating it. Several misunderstandings later, Stu began the Touring Toril Project with the goal of creating the most complete map for the setting since 1999’s the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas.

Drew Bracewell
Senior Editor | World Builder
First introduced to Dungeons & Dragons in the early 2000’s, and the Forgotten Realms right after, Drew has been an avid reader of the novels by some of his favorite Realms authors (Ed Greenwood, Erin M. Evans, R.A. Salvatore and many others) as well as acting as DM around the table of his home games for over two and a half decades. Always excited to see a good map in any of those old books, and constantly asking questions of the original creators what lay on the unknown horizons put Drew in touch with the Atlas project, as we would have to write those adventures ourselves!

Theo Cook
World Builder
Starting in 2019 Theo was introduced to the Forgotten Realms by her now husband after seeing his insane collection of paper back novels. An life-long reader, Theo dived headlong into the setting. When Stu set out create the Touring Toril Project, Theo became the biggest cheerleader he could have. When he turned and asked for help developing the continent of Katashaka, they rolled up their sleeves and started writing. A fan of all things horror, Theo laid some of the creepiest places in all the Realms out for Game Masters. Theo is also responisble for over 100 of the NPCs featured in the book.
Other Contributors
The Touring Toril Project could not have been possible without countless of Realms fans and sages from Greenwood’s Grotto. We have been gathering a comphrensive list of everyone who has answered a question or did cataloguing work for us. Look for their names in the finished project.
